Manfreight driving local hockey forwards

THE LOGISTICS FIRM HAVE BECOME THE MAIN SPONSOR FOR LURGAN COLLEGE HOCKEY.

We recently had the fantastic opportunity to become the main sponsor for Lurgan College Hockey Club.

We want to extend a huge thank you to all of the teams and to Trevor Robinson (Principal) and Alan Reavie (Vice Principal) for giving us such a warm welcome at their Kit launch event this past weekend.

It was an extra special day as we had Serena and Bethany Barr, current Ireland internationals, and former pupils of Lurgan College to sprinkle a little stardust on the event – It’s not every day you have two Irish International Sports Stars in your midst so we asked the girls if they wanted to have a go in the driver seat of the trucks to see how impressive the interior finish is in the New Scania’s and Volvo’s from the Manfreight Fleet.

We are very proud to have this opportunity to be involved with such a successful team — the girls’ 1st XI hockey team have been Ulster and All Ireland Champions four times since 2003 — and we wish all of the teams good luck in the year ahead.
